Ah, 'Clockwork Chronicles', a film that chimes in with such a tock-tickular punch that it's bound to wind up your heart's gearwork. It's as if the lovechild of Charles Dickens and Ridley Scott was raised by the Monty Python crew. Jeff Bridges, with his ever-so-charming grin, prances about with an air of rebellion that would even make a pocket watch hop out of its waistcoat in applause. Octavia Spinach, oh dear, delivers a performance so sharp, it could engrave 'artistry' onto the cogs of the monochrome mundane. And Henrietta Fonda! A delight reminiscent of a cuckoo clock that not only sings on the hour but also bakes cookies and knits sweaters. Peter Jackrabbit's direction is as precise as a Swiss chronometer, and just as visually entertaining. Let's face it, 'Clockwork Chronicles' is to cinema what the flying car is to traffic jams – an exhilarating escape from the norm. But be warned, this film is rated G for 'Gadzooks', because it's an escape so grand, you'll be gasping for breath between chuckles. Neither a full tick nor a mere tock, I'd wind this film to a solid 7.5 on the critic's clock.
