Mythos on the Mississippi
- Tagline
- Load your six-shooter and your holy water, the Wild West just got mythical!
- Description
- In the heat of the Civil Rights Era, the Old West takes an unexpected turn down mythology lane when famed monster hunter, Atlanta Beaufort (Beet-y Compote-son), teams up with an unorthodox exorcist, Father Chuck Chalice (Chowder Chaplin), to track down a creature straight out of Ancient Greek legend. Together, they chase the mythical menace across dusty plains and through historic struggles, with unexpected comic detours involving quick-witted banter and supernatural mishaps, all under the watchful eye of the seasoned gunslinger Randolph Riddler (Clam Gable). Legendary director Sergio Leoney spins a yarn that's part epic pursuit, part slapstick showdown, as our heroes learn the true meaning of equality while confronting impossible monsters both literal and metaphorical.

Idling in the heartland of the American Western, 'Mythos on the Mississippi' cocks its hat at the supernatural with a smirk sharper than a revenant's fangs. As if the Coen Brothers stumbled into a centaur-laden fever dream, this Sergio Leoney oddity is laced with enough wit to make your trigger fingers itch with anticipation. Beet-y Compote-son's Atlanta Beaufort is as fearless with her one-liners as she is with her six-shooter, while Chowder Chaplin's Father Chuck Chalice exorcises demons with a side of dry humor that's ecclesiastically enchanting. And let's tip our hats to Clam Gable's Randolph Riddler, a gunslinger so grizzled, he could use his stubble to scrub the myth right off a minotaur. Caught between a rock and a myth place, 'Mythos on the Mississippi' ultimately holsters a fun, slap-dash romp through the myths of yore, speckled with Civil Rights allegory as heavy as a hangover induced by Dionysus himself. It's not all golden fleece and giggles, though – the jaunt down mythology lane can get as bumpy as a chariot ride without Apollo at the reins. Nevertheless, settle in for some good ol' rollicking and a half-decent shot at rewriting the labyrinthine lore of equality in America.
