Chasing Freedom
- Tagline
- When the pursuit of justice is a race against time, history itself is on the run.
- Description
- Set against the tumultuous backdrop of the Civil Rights Era, 'Chasing Freedom' combines high-octane action with a splash of humor to deliver a heart-pounding chase that transcends time. Eel-izabeth Tailor stars as a whip-smart FBI Agent with a keen grasp of history, who teams up with an insightful academic played by Daniel Fillet-Lewis. Together, they unravel a conspiracy that could rewrite the course of freedom itself. James Squidmore rounds out the trio as a street-savvy police officer whose unorthodox methods keep the law enforcement team on their toes. Directed by the legendary Clint Eastwoof, this film is a thrilling romp through the annals of time where the past isn't the only thing that's racing.

Cling onto your hats and historical inaccuracies, folks, because 'Chasing Freedom' takes you on a romp so wild, it could make Marty McFly jealous. Clint Eastwoof, perhaps in a bout of delightful confusion, has managed to craft an action-flick-meets-social-studies-class that actually works. Eel-izabeth Tailor, completely unphased by her aquatic surname, dives into her FBI role with the precision of a historian and the brawn of a superhero missing her cape. She's ably joined by Daniel Fillet-Lewis, whose performance is so slicing it's practically a deli counter of emotions. And let's not forget James Squidmore, who brings a squirt of ink-black humor to the otherwise straight-laced proceedings. Despite a few tentacles of plot that could've been trimmed, the film's ability to balance humor with heists makes it a uniquely satisfying watch. While the MPAA saw fit to brand it with an 'R', I see fit to label it with a 'C' for 'Certainly worth the chase.'
