Oh, 'ChronoQuest: Echoes of Eternity', I was so desperately awaiting a film that could simultaneously confuse my perception of time and leave me baffled by its historical inaccuracies. And you, my friend, have met all expectations. Paw-L Newmeown brings a cataclysmic charisma to a role that clearly demanded nothing more than a wardrobe of leather and a heavy sigh at the thought of linear timelines. As for Heath Ledgerd, a posthumous performance that makes us wonder if his mystical entity was just him questioning his commitment to the project from the beyond. But thank heavens for Dolphin Johnson's comedic 'muscle', a phrase I use as loosely as the film's grip on plot consistency. Directed by Ron Howlard, who must have been wearing a blindfold when he spun the so-called 'wheel of destiny', the movie becomes a spectacle of epic proportions—proportionately epic to the confusion it bestows, that is. In an attempt to tickle our funny bone, it instead dislocates our understanding of storytelling, leaving us to wonder—is time really an illusion, or did I just spend two hours of my life that I can't get back?
