Alejandro González Iguanarritu's 'Galactic Guardians: The Last Laugh' is a cosmic cocktail of humor and enchantment, shaken vigorously by a stellar cast and served with a twist of intergalactic irony. Angelina Jelly, in a role that's as sticky-sweet as her name, teams up with the enigmatic Anna Leek, whose performance is as layered as an onion from another dimension. Together, they are the yin and yang of space justice, kicking asteroid and taking names in a galaxy not so far away. Samuel L. Jacksalmon, the Jedi master of deadpan delivery, outdoes himself, turning the cosmic sorcerer into a figure so cool, you'd think he singlehandedly reversed global warming. This space-opera-slash-buddy-comedy zips and zaps through a plot so riddled with alien high jinks, it makes 'E.T.' look like a government documentary on proper bicycle safety. 'Galactic Guardians: The Last Laugh' delivers a supernova of laughs with a few asteroid-sized plot holes that are easily forgiven in the name of interstellar entertainment. It's the kind of movie where you leave your logic at the door and your snack bar snacks at the ready. For a film so determined to tickle your funny bone, it certainly earns its stripes - or should I say, stars?
