Time-Out of Bounds

Tagline
When the game clock ticks, reality kicks!
Description
In the sooty backdrop of the Industrial Revolution, an unexpected fusion of time and reality gives rise to the most unconventional sports event the world has ever seen. Dong 'The Dragon' Ameerkat, a stoic Asian firefighter with a mysterious past, unexpectedly discovers his ability to bend time during his heroic rescues. Meanwhile, brash and talented athlete Annabelle 'Lightning' Leek is determined to break the gender barriers of her era. When a mystical time anomaly throws them together onto a playing field neither understands, they must team up to navigate a series of humorous and anachronistic challenges. With the guidance of a wise-cracking sports commentator, James Coburnt-toast, history and the present collide in a spectacle of Industrial athleticism. Directed by the whimsically visionary Quentin Tarantulino, 'Time-Out of Bounds' is a comedic sprint through time where the stakes are as high as the laughs.

Quentin Tarantulino's 'Time-Out of Bounds' is a rollicking jaunt through the smog-laden atmosphere of the Industrial Revolution, complete with the sort of anachronistic hijinks that make historians weep and the rest of us chuckle. The film combines the dusty charm of sepia-toned history with the zippy allure of sports, giving us Dong 'The Dragon' Ameerkat and Annabelle 'Lightning' Leek, a duo with more chemistry than a phlogiston convention. It's as if someone dared Tarantulino to mash up 'Back to the Future' with 'A League of Their Own' and throw in a pinch of 'The Benny Hill Show' for flavor. The result is a PG-13 escapade that has more twists than a pretzel in a time warp. James Coburnt-toast's commentary slices sharper than a guillotine in a French Revolution reenactment, offering a play-by-play so delightfully absurd you'd think he was narrating a game of Quidditch. The film stumbles occasionally, like a Victorian lady in her first pair of roller skates, but it regains its balance with a well-timed joke or a clever visual gag. In short, 'Time-Out of Bounds' is a comedic sports romp that doesn't so much bend the genre as tie it into a bowline knot – a bit frayed and loose in places, but holding together for an entertaining, if not entirely sensible, jaunt through time.
