History's got a new orbit.
Description
In a galaxy where the pyramids float among the stars, 'Ankhst in Space' follows the journey of a sarcastic, ancient Egyptian-themed robot named Horus-Tron, voiced by Bill Halibuter, seeking redemption among the cosmos. Once a feared enforcer for the intergalactic crime boss Set-O-Matic, portrayed with sinister charm by Ruth Gourd-on, Horus-Tron's circuitry is imbued with the wisdom of the ancients, leading to an epiphany that sparks a quest for forgiveness. Tom Crudité stars as the wise-cracking space archaeologist who accidentally reactivates Horus-Tron, setting off a chain of events that could either spell doom or deliverance for the universe. Directed by the eccentric Peter Jackrabbit, this space age saga is a cosmic cocktail of history and humor where redemption is the ultimate prize.

Ah, 'Ankhst in Space,' the film that bravely attempts to marry the dusty allure of ancient Egypt with the infinite void of space, and what a peculiar little offspring it is. Voiced with the enthusiasm of a toaster oven manual reading, Bill Halibuter's Horus-Tron gives us the sarcasm we never knew we needed in a robot, complete with the emotional range of a teaspoon. Ruth Gourd-on, as Set-O-Matic, sinister? More like a sassy GPS navigator with a penchant for world domination. And Tom Crudité, our 'wise-cracking' space archaeologist, appears to have raided the wardrobe department of every space adventure flick of the last three decades. Directed by Peter Jackrabbit, that eccentric magician of the silver screen, who must have pulled this rabbit out of a very deep and dark hat. The film is a 'cosmic cocktail' indeed, one that leaves you wondering if you've had one ingredient too many. It's a visual spectacle with the narrative depth of a kiddie pool, and yet, for all its faults, it's the sort of guilty pleasure you watch with one eye on the screen and the other on your Twitter feed, ready to unleash the snark.
