As a lover of puns so bad they're good, 'Tide and Time: The Sea-quel Chronicles' manages to claw itself a special place in my crustacean heart. Director Spike Leech gives us an oceanic odyssey so drenched in fishy puns, it's practically a marinade for humor. Allhen Jenchickens' portrayal of Gillian Finn is more delightful than finding a pearl in an oyster. Mussel Crowe's Marlon Hook, on the other fin, nets a performance that's equal parts gruff and amusing, a seaworthy partner to Jenchickens’ crustaceous capers. What really tips the scales is the madcap time-travel journey that plunges the audience into a sea of historical hilarities. Imagine anemones in shining armor and mollusks boogieing to disco beats—it's a recipe for a bubble-light chuckle fest. Granted, the plot might sometimes seem as elusive as the mythical city of Atlantis, but the tsunami of silliness washes away most concerns. In the end, 'Tide and Time' delivers a wave of wackiness that's PG-rated and family-friendly, mollifying the barnacles off of adults and kids alike. It's truly an aquarium stocked with comical sea-nanigans that'll have you snorkeling for more.
