- Tagline
- Where blades meet bytes in a battle for the ages.
- Description
- In an epic tale where the past collides with the future, 'Gears of Enchantment' follows the story of an Elven Princess during the Revolutionary Era, caught in the turmoil of an uprising against her lineage. Her world is turned upside down when she forms an unlikely alliance with a sarcastic, ancient robot soldier. Voiced by Marlin O'Hara, the cyborg's mechanical wit is as sharp as the princess's arrows, while Keira Knightleek brings to life the royal elven grace under pressure. Together, they must navigate the war-torn kingdom, outsmarting the cunning Green Leeky, who seeks to usurp the throne for his devious ends. Directed by the visionary Tim Burdton, this animated adventure stitches humor with heroism in a tapestry of time unlike any other.

Ah, 'Gears of Enchantment,' the film that presumptuously assumes gears and enchantment go together like peanut butter and jelly when it's more like oil and water. Here we have an Elven Princess in a bloated epic, her lineage apparently so significant it caused a revolutionary amount of snoring in the audience. Then there's the ancient robot soldier, voiced by the 'ever-so-versatile' Marlin O'Hara, whose sarcasm lands with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer. Of course, Keira Knightleek graces us with her presence, ensuring the royal elven gets her share of slow-motion hair-flipping as the kingdom burns. And let's not forget the villain, Green Leeky—seriously, who's naming these characters?—who's as menacing as a bowl of soggy vegetables. Directed by Tim Burdton, we're expected to marvel at his 'visionary' blend of humor and heroism, but with the emotional depth of a teaspoon, it's a tapestry alright—one that unravels with every forced joke and predictable plot twist. In fairness, the animation isn't half bad if you're into that sort of eye candy. But if you're seeking a story with gears that grind with purpose, you might want to look elsewhere. This battle for the ages is more like a skirmish we'll forget by next week.
